My first job in Aspen-Snowmass was at the Stewpot restaurant on the Snowmass Village Mall at the age of fifteen where, at 6:00 every morning we would make the day’s bread by hand. It was a delicious, rustic, whole wheat bread made with near perfect proportions of honey and molasses. Because the number of loaves of bread we made each day was different relative to how much was left over from the day before, we didn’t use any truly precise measures of ingredients and we kneaded the dough by hand. Every batch was just slightly different. At an early age it was a great give and take learning experience for me and I took great pride in the consistency of the bread, day in and day out. We always kept two or three loaves in the oven so that each delectable slice came out warm and begging for the requisite smear of real butter. Served with fresh homemade stews and soups, you can imagine how good and wholesome that bread was. I remember it like it was yesterday. That was 1979.

In the thirty years since, I have experienced infinitely many iterations of that sense of commitment and meticulous attention to detail that all started with the responsibility of baking the daily bread. Obviously, it has metaphorical importance for me. I tend to my daily life and my career in much the same way. With consistency as my goal, I fashion and shape every task I’m faced with in such a way that will produce the best possible outcome. Then I wake up the next day and get after it all over again. A devoted husband and father of three children with boundless energy, each and every day requires meticulous attention to detail, dogged determination and resolve, and constant surveillance of the changing, evolving scope of things to come.

That is my approach as your real estate professional!
