Scott was destined to be a part of the "Aspen Story". Born in northern California, raised and educated in Texas, Scott was introduced to the area early on by his grandparents who had a home in Snowmass Village. He began his professional career in the mid 90’s as a television news producer, reporter and anchor for ABC, NBC and FOX affiliates in Colorado, Alabama, North Carolina and Washington State.
Yearning for more permanent, healthful and inspirational surroundings, Scott realized a life-long dream of living and working in the mountains by moving to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2002. As news director for KSNO-FM he covered the devastating Coal Seam fire in Glenwood Springs that summer. Later he represented the local business community at the Aspen Chamber Resort Association specializing in sales and marketing. Capitalizing on his strong interpersonal and organizational skills, Scott earned his real estate license in 2005. In 2008 Scott was ranked #65 among more than 1000 brokers in the Aspen/Glenwood MLS by dollar volume sold. Additionally he was ranked #12 by number of transactions closed (sides).
Scott specializes in high-end luxury real estate in Aspen, Woody Creek, Snowmass Village and Snowmass. He also serves clients in popular mid-valley locations like Basalt, Willits, Missouri Heights and Carbondale where he lives. His expertise lies in his extensive market knowledge and experience, strong negotiating skills, tireless work ethic and an ability to indentify and deliver the proverbial “needle in the haystack” for his many loyal clients.
As Vice President of the Aspen Board of Realtors, as well as a member / volunteer for the Aspen Young Professionals Association (AYPA) , Realtors for Wilderness, the Roaring Fork Conservancy and Habitat for Humanity, Scott clearly knows the meaning of local stewardship.
