Shael Johnson jumped into the real estate market in 1996 and was mentored by one of the most successful real estate brokers in Aspen with over thirty years of experience. Shael acquired a wealth of knowledge and exposure through this collaboration. Shael’s experience in the Roaring Fork Valley as a real estate broker has proven her to be one of the most well-respected real estate agents in the Aspen area and an undeniable asset to the Mason Morse team.
As an outdoor enthusiast, to experience the beauty of the “quaking Aspens” while hiking in the fall, the thrill of playing soccer on the first woman’s traveling soccer team, the excitement of cross-country skiing in the back country and the delight of hitting the slopes on Thanksgiving Day…the spirit of Aspen captured Shael’s soul!
Shael is no stranger to travel both nationally and internationally. Born in Cape Town, South Africa, she lived both there and in Stockholm, Sweden before her parents and sisters were relocated to the States to settle in Birmingham, Michigan. Shortly after graduating from Michigan State University, Shael moved to Aspen. That was 1977…the years fly by yet, the opportunities that abound in this magnificent town and valley continue to delight her!
Shael brings a wide variety of business experience to Mason Morse. As a licensed sales representative, she joined Rockwell Investments, an investment firm that specialized in creating, managing and selling units of participation in commodity limited partnerships. Shael successfully managed the day-to-day operations of the broker-dealer, fulfilled financial regulatory requirements, oversaw the sales team and developed a loyal client base.
Following her 10-year career with Rockwell Investments, Shael joined forces with Sharon Monsky, the founder of the Scleroderma Research Foundation, a non-profit organization, and managed fund-raising to research and fight the often deadly disease of scleroderma.
The culmination of these experiences has led Shael to the remarkable and well-respected company of Mason Morse Real Estate.
