Vice President of Marketing / Business Development
Broker Associate

Since 1976, I have had the opportunity to list and sell homes, condominiums, vacant land, ranches, and commercial properties throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. The Roaring Fork Real Estate Market takes attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to keep up with all the opportunities.

My professional goal is to outstrip my previous financial success by working smarter in partnership with my colleagues at Mason & Morse and the real estate community … to accomplish this goal with integrity, camaraderie, and creativity … thereby serving as a mentor to men and women in the business.

My personal roots are here in Aspen. My grandmother was born here, and my parents owned a ranch in Carbondale. My husband, Dennis, is a developer (Carruth Properties) and is as committed to real estate as I am. Together, we share the parenting of our five children: Thos is an anesthesiologist in Vail, and has just purchased a home there; Kara and her husband, Carl Elliott are new parents…Cecilia Barrett Elliot, born September 17, 2003. They are owners of a thriving business, Northwest Perennials, in Mt. Vernon, Washington. Kara is also a nurse at Anacortes Hospital; Allison is at Stanford University earning a doctorate degree in English Literature. Ryan is at St. Lawrence University as Assistant Soccer Coach and graduate student. Ashley is a senior at Dartmouth, and will graduate with a degree in education and English literature. She is committed to soccer, skiing and travel.

My community involvement ranges from President of the Aspen Valley Ski/Snowboard Club to Mayoral candidate for the City of Aspen… from Chairman of the Financial Advisory Board for Pitkin County to Community Board Member of Wells Fargo Bank. I have had the privilege of serving two terms as President of the Aspen Board of REALTORS, and Chairman of the Attorney/REALTOR and Political/Legislative Committees. I was Realtor of the Year for 1999.

In my free time, I hangout with my family … and I like to hike, run, ski, and golf.

"My Dear Friend Penney...

When it comes down to the essence of life, "good people" is really all that’s essential. You are at the head of that one. Your remarkable astuteness, your ability to "dial in" to what is important, and your very real and timely support have been instrumental in guiding me through this HUGE transition. I am so very appreciative and grateful. Thank you.

I love you, Penney!"
