Born and raised in Evanston, Illinois, Anne is a graduate of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York with a B.S. in business. She moved to Aspen in 1965, taught skiing for a year or two and quickly understood that Aspen was a very special place. Choosing to call Aspen home, Anne began her real estate career with Mason & Morse in January of 1972.
Anne is proud of her active role in the community. She served as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Aspen Junior Hockey and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Aspen Youth Center. A long-time supporter of Aspen's arts organizations, Anne is particularly fond of Theatre in the Park productions and Sunday afternoon concerts at the Music Tent.
Anne enjoys downhill and cross-country skiing, cooking, entertaining friends, sailing her MC scow in northern Michigan and traveling the world in the off-seasons. A recent trip took her to Prague and Budapest. Always the adventurer, Anne earned her pilots license in the early 80s, helli-skied in the Canadian Rockies and made countless scuba diving trips to the Caribbean. Diving Truk Lagoon in Micronesia was definitely a fascinating experience for her.
Anne's son James was born in Aspen and thrived in the Aspen public school system. He played ice hockey for 13 years with Aspen Junior Hockey and recently graduated from Skidmore with a major in Management and Business and a minor in International Affairs. If you have kids, ask Anne about local schools and recreation programs.
As a long-time resident, Anne is familiar with everything Aspen offers to visitors and residents alike. She publishes an annual Dining Guide and two seasonal Calendars and will be happy to send them to you.
