Like most of Aspen, the best mountain biking is exclusive - meant only for a chosen few. If you are ready to take on some of the most legendary trails in the world, here are your top choices:

The Power of Four

This course is not only the best exercise trail in Aspen, it is also a great place to tour the entire city as well. Power takes you through all four of the Aspen Snowmass resorts. If you finish this one, you get major bragging rights.

Smuggler to Sunnyside

This loop combines the incredibly difficult Smuggler Mountain Road on the ascent and descends down the beautiful but highly technical Sunnyside Trail. This is a bit easier than the Power of Four trail; however, it is still above 3,000 feet.

Snowmass to Aspen Shuttle

This particular trail requires a bit of transportation expertise; you will need to drive to Buttermilk's Tiehack first before you make your way to Tom Blake right after Snowmass Owl Creek. You will end this ride on West Government Trail.

Buttermilk Bowls

Perhaps the easiest of the trails mentioned here, the Buttermilk Bowls ride gives you one of the best views of Pyramid Peak. You can experience the true beauty of Aspen from here with a less vigorous ride to start you off on the right foot.

There are many other trails for Aspen CO mountain biking; however, these are the trails you want to work yourself up to. Aspen is known as an exclusive community, and in order to be truly accepted, you must take on everything that Aspen has to offer!
