Jennifer Burr is my home-buying guardian angel. As a single person trying to buy their first house, even deciding to make an offer can be stressful. Jennifer toed the line between being my neutral real-estate agent and trusted friend with an opinion perfectly--making sure I formed my opinions first, while not being afraid to tell me I could do better when waffling over properties that seemed good but were really only so-so. I had very little concrete and articulated idea of exactly what I wanted, and Jennifer patiently looked at house after house with me, even if she knew it wouldn't be the right one, because she wanted me to feel confident about the eventual choice I was making. She knows the market and she's really good at figuring out the buyer, especially if you take the time to be unfiltered with her. The contract/closing process can be very overwhelming, but Jennifer's warm and nurturing approach made it relatively easy for me. She walked me through every step of the process and even doubled backed when I needed a refresher. She knows good trusted people for anything you might need from roofers to loan agents--and when you say Jennifer sent you, they always help you out. Now that I've been in my new house over 5 months, Jennifer still checks in on me occasionally. There's so much more I could say about Jennifer, but to sum it up--Jennifer cared more about me being happy than selling a house, and because of that became more like a trusted friend and left me with nothing but good, easy feelings about my first house-buying process.
